The Olympics and Sport have been topics that Primary 4-7 have been working on in the summer term, and as part of the Leavers Assembly, we performed an Olympic Creative Dance.

A lot had to be crammed into a short time in this busy summer term, but everyone did very well in creating this dance that starts and ends with the Olympic Rings, and depicts various Olympic Sports.  See how many you can spot?

Over a number of weeks James Shannly, a parent in school, has been organising cycle training through Bikeability Scotland. He will continue with  an after school club next session.

Bikeability Scotland is a cycle training scheme designed to give children the skills and confidence they need both to cycle safely on the roads, and to encourage them to carry on cycling into adulthood.

The winning House this year was Waldie and the winner of the Primary 6/7 Championship Cup was Emma, also from Waldie.  Isaac was runner up.

Well done to all who took part, the determination and happiness can be seen in the faces of the participants, not just hoping to win, but having a good time along the way.

Thanks also to parents and friends who supported the pupils on the day, and to Mrs Fairbairn (PE Teacher) for her hard work in preparing pupils and events for the day.
