The Olympics and Sport have been topics that Primary 4-7 have been working on in the summer term, and as part of the Leavers Assembly, we performed an Olympic Creative Dance.

A lot had to be crammed into a short time in this busy summer term, but everyone did very well in creating this dance that starts and ends with the Olympic Rings, and depicts various Olympic Sports.  See how many you can spot?

Ednam had the annual Sports Day on Friday, and although dry the weather was not hot and sunny like it had been in recent weeks.

This year was a little different starting the event with a Potted Sports.  Mixed groups of pupils, including nursery, took part in a range of activities, with each group gaining points for their house.

Primary 4-7 had our first session of class PE this week, where we have started with football skills. We started with some warm ups and strength exercises, before learning about throw-ins, trapping the ball, passing with the side of their foot and dribbling.  This work will continue until Sept/Oct through various skills and by that time… Continue reading
