On Tuesday afternoon we had a visit from PC Logan to tell us about her job as a Community Police Officer. She told us that as part of her job she visits High Schools, Primary Schools and Nurseries to tell the children about what Police Officers can do to help you keep safe in your community. She also told us that as well as school visits she has to do normal police work such as stopping people committing crimes, catching people who have done something wrong, reuniting lost children and generally anything to help keep the public safe.
Her visit was great fun, she showed us her uniform and all the things she has to carry with her everywhere. She put Keira in handcuffs and Adam had a shot of the leg restraints. We all got to wear a police hat and hold the baton to see how heavy it was. Finally we went outside to see the police van. She played a game with the children called ‘How many children can we fit in a cage?’ Sadly she let them all out again! We ended the visit with the blues and twos which were very bright and loud.
